Sewing Tips
Hi Sewing Friends:
If you want sewing tips, you can find plenty of them on the web. I'm amazed at how much information is available to us.
Sometimes, like anything else, it isn't the best information, but you have to decide what is the best for you. What works for one doesn't work for all.
I suggest that you gather those tips that you want to keep into a separate sewing tip file or print them out and put them into a binder in your sewing room. Then, they will be handy when you need them.
The sewing tips and techniques that I post on my websites are ones that I use and recommend. I hope you try them and find them useful. I give a lot of free sewing information in addition to the sewing ebooks that I offer.
Someone asked if I was going to write a complete sewing book. No, I don't intend to rewrite a lot of general sewing information that is already available for you. Life is too short for that. I want to give you what I believe will help you achieve greater sewing success.
Most of you are familiar with the major sewing sites like the
Home Sewing Association,
American Sewing Guild, etc. There are several sites that are educational and some that are personal blogs where someone is documenting their sewing projects. Then, there are forums where sewing folks gather to chat and ask questions about sewing. A lot of sewing sites are sewing machine dealers or sewing store owners. Many of these sewing sites offer sewing projects and tips, also. You can even take a sewing course online if you want. The choice is yours.
Along with all of this, unfortunately, you'll find some sewing sites that are put up by an internet marketer who has a bunch of links where he/she is trying to make a buck. They really don't know anything about sewing. They just want you to click on their links so they can get paid. I wouldn't have a problem with that if they were actually offering you something of value in addition to the links. Every business has advertising to help pay for its existence, but when it is all ads, I feel that is wrong.
If you have a sewing site that you recommend, let us know so we can all check it out.
To Your Sewing Success,
Marian
